A truly unique lens for distant subjects, or when you need a very narrow field of view for closer subjects, this lens has everything you need in a lightweight and image stabilized package. This Lens is 2/3 stop faster than the amazing RF 800mm f/11 when extended to 800mm, but you also get a much more versatile range of focal lengths.Likewise, the RF 200mm-800mm saves a great deal of weight when compared to the faster and much heavier RF and EF 800mm f/5.6L lenses, and is only 1 and 1/3 stops slower than these highly specialized, expensive and heavy Super Tele's.The RF 800mm f/5.6L weighs in at 6.9lbs or 3129.79 grams. The RF 200mm to 800mm Zoom weighs in at 4.5lbs or 2050 grams. Agathe 200mm-*00mm wins on weight AND Range of Focal Lengths. When you are carrying gear around all day, the weight of your kit is a deciding factor. When all is said and done, the 200mm - 800mm wins in every department but for that extra 13 stops.
